From July 1, 2023, new rules will apply to Coffee to go cardboard cups with a plastic coating. This means that an amount must be paid for each cup that is taken or collected along the way. It may therefore no longer be given for free from 1 July 2023. The entrepreneurs can decide for themselves how much they will charge for the cups with a plastic coating. Plastic-free cardboard cups are allowed.

It is also mandatory to offer reusable variants as an alternative in addition to disposables when drinking on site, so for on-site consumption there will be a ban on cardboard cups with a plastic coating and plastic disposable cups.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has announced that there will also be a restriction on paper cups from July 2023.

In short, the following applies to cups on the go:

1-Offer a cup without plastic

2- customer brings his own cup

3- Charge money for the coffee to go cup with a plastic coating

4- you offer an alternative  reusable cup.
