Products made of the cardboard with water barrier coating are suitable for recycling with paper. They do not require a separate or additional waste collection system.
The process of making a P2P paper cup starts at the source: the trees.
The material from which the cups are made comes from sustainably managed forests that take nature and local communities into account (FSC Certificate).
The trees are cut down and then transported to our paper supplier where they are processed into pulp.
This pulp is then sieved and pressed to remove the water.
What remains is a thin layer of fibers that are pressed into sheets and dried.
These sheets are then cut to size and folded into the shape of cups and glued.
The special thing about the P2P cups is that they do not contain a PE layer, making them easily recyclable.
This is an important aspect of the production process as it makes recycling the cups much more effective.
After use, the cups can be collected and recycled into new paper products.
The production of the P2P cups is also carried out as sustainably as possible.
Most of the energy used in the production process is supplied by a solar panel park.
This means that production is not only sustainable, but also largely self-sufficient.
Finally, it is good to know that the P2P cups are made of water-based barrier cardboard.
This material is fully recyclable and does not contain a PE layer, making it more sustainable than most other cardboard cups on the market.
