The Single Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) requires standard Plastic in Product markings for a range of packaging items made partly of plastic, including cardboard cups. Perfectly legible and indelible labels are essential, regardless of the plastic content.<\/p>\n

Here's what you need to know: Paper cups delivered to customers in EU countries before July 3, 2021, may be sold without the label.
Paper cups supplied to and sold in EU countries after July 3, 2021, must be labeled. Until July 4, 2022, these products may be labeled with stickers. The label must state the language of the country in which the product is used.
All paper cups will have to be labelled, i.e. whether they are made of cardboard with PE or PLA coating.<\/p>\n
